How to Measure Yourself for the Perfect Fit
To get accurate measurements, you'll need a soft measuring tape and a friend (or a mirror). Measure over a thin t-shirt - not over a bulky sweater.
Step 1: Chest
Wrap the tape under your armpits, around the fullest part of your chest. Keep it parallel to the floor and snug but not tight. Write down the number in inches.
Pro Tip: For a standard fit, add 2 to 4 inches to your chest measurement. For example, if your chest is 40 inches, look for a hoodie with a chest width of 44 to 46 inches. That extra room allows for layering.
Step 2: Length
Measure from the top of your shoulder (where the seam hits) down to where you want the hem to end. For most people, that's about hip level. Add an inch if you like extra coverage.
Common Mistake: Don't slouch. Stand straight. A hunched posture adds inches to your torso and throws off the length.
Step 3: Sleeve
Start at the center of your back at the base of your neck, measure across your shoulder, down your arm to your wrist bone. Keep your arm slightly bent.
Pro Tip: If you can't measure sleeves easily, compare your chest size to our size chart. Sleeve length usually scales with chest width. Our size chart lists both for each size.
